Joico Lumishine Dedicated Crème Developer (32 oz / 946ml) is the official oxidative activator engineered specifically to work in synergy with Joico Lumishine Permanent Crème and Joico YouthLock colour lines.

Primary Role: Precision Oxidation, Zero-Lift Toning & Bond Protection

Formulated with moisture-binding squalane, Lumishine Developer creates a smooth, creamy viscosity for seamless bowl-and-brush application. It is precisely buffered to activate Lumishine’s ArgiPlex bond-building complex without destabilizing the cuticle, delivering uniform pigment saturation, predictable lift, and lasting shine.

Available Volume Strengths & Clinical Applications

• 5 Volume (1.5%): Zero lift / Deposit-only. Formulated for glaze toning, refresh applications, and neutralizing fragile, pre-lightened hair without "base breaking" (will not shift or expose underlying warmth on virgin root regrowth). Process 5–35 minutes.
• 10 Volume (3%): Up to 1 level of lift. Ideal for tone-on-tone darkening, refreshing mid-lengths and ends, or gentle "low-and-slow" foil lifting. Process 35 minutes.
• 20 Volume (6%): Up to 2 levels of lift. The benchmark standard for 100% opaque grey coverage, standard YouthLock formulations, and vibrant permanent deposit. Process 35–45 minutes.
• 30 Volume (9%): Up to 3 levels of lift. Engineered for advanced lightening on natural virgin hair and opening cuticles on coarse, resistant textures. Process 35 minutes.
• 40 Volume (12%): Up to 4 levels of lift. Mix 1:2 with High Lift XL series for maximum lift on natural Level 6+ virgin hair, or with specialized lighteners. Process up to 60 minutes.

Formulation & System Guidance

• Permanent Crème & YouthLock Mixing: Standard 1:1 ratio (equal parts developer and colour).
• High Lift XL Series Mixing: 1:2 ratio (1 part XL colour to 2 parts 30V or 40V developer).
• System Exclusions: Do not use with Joico Color Intensity (Color Intensity is a semi-permanent direct dye requiring zero developer).
• Shade Selection: Cross-reference target shades on the Joico Lumishine Colour Chart.
